How to Play Baccarat at BQ88 – A Guide for Malaysian Beginners
If you're trying baccarat at BQ88 for the first time, the good news is that the game is far simpler than it looks from the outside. You don't need to memorise complex strategies or understand an intricate card system to get started and enjoy yourself.
Baccarat uses a unique scoring system – each card has a straightforward value: cards 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth zero, and Aces count as one. When the total of two cards exceeds 9, only the second digit counts. For example, a 7 and an 8 add up to 15 – but in baccarat, the score is 5.
At the start of each round, both Banker and Player receive two cards. If either hand scores 8 or 9 (known as a "natural"), the round ends immediately and the winner is declared. Otherwise, the predetermined third-card rules determine whether either hand draws an additional card. As a player, you don't need to make any decisions about the third card – everything is handled automatically according to standard baccarat rules, which BQ88 follows in full.
So what do you need to do? Just one thing: place your bet before the cards are dealt. Choose Banker, Player or Tie – and if the table offers side bets such as Pair, you can add those too.
